This episode reveals that the light tanks can elevate their treads into a more vertical position to raise the cockpit and turret to a higher level.

At 3:24 in the episode, there is what appears to be a female figure in a tube in Able's office. In the later episode "No Bounds", we get a somewhat better look at it and the armor on the figure has very similar markings to those of Yori, Tron's romantic interest in Tron! However, no explanation of the armor's presence is given in either episode.

This episode features a large number of the otherwise rarely seen grid bugs.

During his conversation with Tron, Able tells him to release Beck from his obligations and not make Beck "another one of your mistakes". This is a reference to Cyrus, Tron's first choice to be the Renegade, who went insane and threatened to destroy the grid (a story told later in "The Stranger" and "No Bounds").
